To mark Ada Lovelace Day this we were lucky to be able to interview three inspirational women from the faculty to find out more about their career journeys, role models and what advice they have for other women wanting to embark on a career in technology.

Thanks to all of you who attended our Women in STEM Networking Lunch yesterday.

It was great to discuss what students want to see from the society for 2023/24.

It was great to meet so many of our new students at the CEM Welcome Fair today and hearing your thoughts of our Women in STEM Society.

To celebrate this year’s Black History Month theme ‘Saluting our sisters’, the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media will be holding an online panel discussion which will explore the experiences of black women in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics).

In Conversation with alumna Rhiannon Williams, the Co-Founder and previous Team Leader of DMU Racing, and previous DMU Racing Team Leader, Megan Yates.

This year we will be celebrating Ada Lovelace Day on Tuesday 10th October.

We will be holding a women in STEM networking lunch on Wednesday 4^th October from 1pm to 3pm.

We will be at the CEM Welcome Fair on Tuesday 26th September 10am to 3:30pm in the Queens Building.
